Photography has been a part of Eric Ebling’s life from a very young age.
As a gift from his father,at the age of ten, he was given a Canon AE1 film camera to start learning the techniques of photography. Throughout his childhood,
the family was involved in many outdoors activities, such as Hiking, Camping, and Boating. This put him on a path to explore areas near and far, to
find the most compelling scenes to photograph of the world around us. Eric has planned his trips to revolve around the pursuit of
capturing these images. After traveling to many places around the world, he finds the most enjoyable places to explore out in the
American West. From the National Parks, to the stops along the sides of those long country roads, you can find a never ending supply
of natural wonders.
After spending many years in Post Production, Photography is now Eric’s primary focus. Having spent the last 16 years of his
professional life working in the Entertainment Industry for some of the largest Post Production houses in the industry, He has developed
an eye critical to the details. During this time, he worked as a specialist in the field of Dynamic FX simulations, creating the destruction
you see on the big screen in such feature films as The Incredible Hulk, 2012, X-Men Apocalypse, and multiple entries in the Fast and Furious
Franchise. He was involved in a number of commercial projects as well, being nominated for multiple awards and winning a silver Clio for his
work in the advertising industry.
As if coming full circle, Eric is shifting his focus back to the first form of art he was exposed to, Photography. It is a passion that
allows many of his interests in life to merge together. Roadtrtips to destinations unknown, Hiking during the day to find the perfect space to photograph,
nights looking up under the stars from a dark campsite, and cutting edge technology in the camera gear and post process that comes after the trip
has ended. I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoyed taking them. The journey has always been worth it.
